The Nepal Hydrogeological Association (NHA) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 7, 2026, at the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation hall in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.
Mr. Prabin Chandra K.C., General Secretary of the Eighth Executive Committee, hosted the event. The program began with the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence to honor those who died in the devastating Bhotekoshi-Trishuli flood on August 26, 2026.
President Mr. Aravind Kumar Mishra welcomed all attendees, including past presidents, honorary members, sponsor partners, sub-committee heads, chief editors, and life members. Following his welcome address, key reports were presented:
· Activity Report (F/Y 2082/83): Presented by General Secretary Mr. Prabin Chandra K.C.
· Financial Report (F/Y 2082/83): Presented by Treasurer Ms. Jharana Khanal
· Publication Report: Chief Editor Dr. Kabi Raj Paudyal reported on the 11th volume of the NHA Bulletin and the 3rd volume of the NHA Journal.
After a constructive discussion, the life members unanimously approved all reports. The AGM also endorsed the Eighth Executive Committee's decision to donate NPR 25,555 to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
Vice Chairman Dr. Bijay Man Shakya delivered the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with a group photo, followed by tea and snacks.
