According to Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, Government of Nepal (https://seismonepal.gov.np/earthquakes), an earthquake of local magnitude (ML) 6.4 occured around Ramidanda of Jajarkot district at 23:47 on 2080/07/17 (3 November 2023). Aftershocks ranging from ML 4.2 to 4.5 have been recorded.
The preliminary information indicates dozens of people have lost lives with injury to hundreds of people. Likewise, there is significant damages to houses and other infrastructures. Jajarkot and West Rukum have faced most of the damage.
